Binance’s biggest blockchain week in history kicks off! CEO Richard: This year is a great moment for the crypto industry.

The two-day Binance Blockchain Week Dubai 2024 conference was held in Dubai from Wednesday, October 30th to Thursday, October 31st. Binance, the world’s largest exchange, focused the theme of this event on “Momentum,” hoping to explore in depth how the blockchain industry has quickly responded to challenges and achieved several major milestones since the last Istanbul conference.

Binance CEO Richard: We will overcome more challenges

Jessie, Binance’s Global Head of Media, emphasized that this Binance Blockchain Week is the largest in Binance’s history, highlighting Dubai’s position as a global hub for the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry. The event covers a number of leading topics, including venture capital and institutional funding, discussions on different regulatory jurisdictions, and key innovations driving industry development.

Binance CEO Richard Tang delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony, emphasizing the importance of 2024 for the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry, particularly the approval of the Bitcoin spot ETF, which has brought new vitality to the industry. He encouraged attendees to use this opportunity to reflect on the industry’s development, consider how to become a positive force driving change, and work together to face future challenges.

This year’s theme is “Momentum,” which is perfectly relevant to our industry, this sector, and what we are seeing.

2024 was a great year for the industry, starting with the approval of a Bitcoin spot ETF, which brought new opportunities to the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry.

Being in the same industry, we have overcome many challenges together, and I can assure you that there are still many challenges to come.

In addition, Binance Blockchain Week features an innovation stage offering interactive experiences, as well as the Binance Square Awards ceremony. Binance also launched a dedicated Blockchain Week app, providing attendees with a one-stop shop for events and networking services.

Following Richard Tang’s opening remarks, Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, emphasized the young history of Dubai and the UAE, and the visionary and adventurous spirit of its leaders over the past fifty years, which has provided strong support for the development of the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry. He mentioned:
