微软推出Windows Server 2012/R2付费扩展支持方案 每年更新1次

基于 Windows 8.x 的 Windows Server 2012 和 Windows Server 2012 R2 版已经在 2023 年 10 月 10 日结束为期 5 年的扩展支持，也就是说这些版本的生命周期已经抵达尽头，不再提供安全更新。

当然按惯例微软还是会提供 ESU 即付费扩展支持方案的，企业根据自己的需要，向微软订购许可证以获得继续支持并获得安全更新，当然 ESU 方案的价格并不算便宜，而且有起订量限制。

根据微软说明，为给部分企业提供更多时间迁移到 Windows Server 2022 (即当前 Windows Server 的最新版)，企业可以获得 3 个连续 12 个月的有限保护扩展。

但与常规安全更新不同的是，Windows Server 2012 系列的 3 年 ESU 支持是每年更新 1 次而不是每月更新 1 次。

如果企业选择将自己的服务器迁移到 Microsoft Azure 的话，那也可以免费获得 3 年扩展，因为微软为自家 Azure 上的 Windows Server 虚拟机提供一些额外的支持。

具体来说如果在 Azure 上使用 Windows Server 2012、Windows Server 2012 R2、Windows Embedded Server 2012 R2，那就可以获得额外三年支持。

同理如果使用 Azure Stack HCI、Azure Stach Hub 或其他 Azure 产品，如果对应产品有额外支持的话，那也可以免费获得。
